Letterform, Message & Meaning.....

Overall, I felt that even though I was limited in what I could experiment with in this task, I still found multiple ways of presenting my given text.

Focusing on a required task for this project I experimented with colour and different contrasts. When asking others which designs they preferred, most liked the first design more than the second but did still find it appealing. Although, I'm still not convinced myself.

For the second brief, it was required to focus on a single letter, from one of the previous chosen typefaces. Then to work with four significantly different designs, each within a 150mm square & they could be cropped or enlarged if desired.

I chose to work with Britannic Bold & produce my four designs using the negative space that surrounds the letter Q.
As the first brief of this new project, I was required to choose Four Typefaces. Two would be chosen to display an example of continuous reading & the other two would be chosen as big display examples.
My personal choices were rounded to Baskerville, Lexia DaMa, Old London & Britannic Bold.
